The Journey Begins
Today was the first webinar for the MKMMA course for which I’ve received a scholarship. It is important that I express my thanks to those who’ve come before, whose generosity and love prompted them to contribute to this course for those of us who are following them. I’m so grateful to them.
The webinar today was an introduction to the course, what we should expect, what’s expected of us. Having been involved for the last six months in the related Go90Grow program which Mark J. – http://www.worldslaziestnetworker.com – and the Fabulous Davene – http://www.thefabdavene.com – have put together, I feel that I have a fairly good idea of what’s expected, but I understand that this program is different, with a different focus. I sent in my DMP (Definite Major Purpose) statement yesterday. It’s due on Thursday. I’m glad to be ahead of things, but I may have jumped the gun. Our focus in this program being different, the focus of my DMP needs to be different. I look forward to learning how to amend it.
So, moving forward into this class, I know it’s going to demand more of me than I expect, and give to me more than I dream. I think of the Star Trek: DS9 character, Dax, about whom another character once said, “She OWNS herself!” I look forward to owning myself, to claiming my dreams, to having the security and strength that this process will bring to me. Actually, it won’t bring it to me, it will help me to find it within myself. If you haven’t seen it, you should get “Finding Joe.” It’s a movie about this idea, that within ourselves we have hidden so much treasure in our efforts to conform, and because of what we’ve been taught and trained to think.
We’re reading The Master Key System, by Haanel, and The Greatest Salesman in the World by Og Mandino. These are both awesome books. In The Greatest Salesman, Chapter 8 (scroll 1) begins with, “Today I begin a new life.” So it is that I, today and every day, begin a new life. I relate that to a statement from Science & Health with Key to the Scriptures, by Mary Baker Eddy, “To those leaning on the Sustaining Infinite, today is big with blessings.” I begin this journey, this new life, with great expectations of the blessings that are mine.
