This week’s lesson in the Master Key System, by Haanel, is about the application of knowledge, using courage and faith.  Haanel tells us that “Knowledge does not apply itself;” About what knowledge is he writing?  He tells us, “You must first have the knowledge of your power; second, the courage to dare; third, the faith to do.”  Knowledge, courage, and faith.  These are the energies that move us forward towards our goals and dreams.

Knowledge.  The sum or range of what has been perceived, discovered, or learned.  What is my power?  I know the source of my power – Universal Mind (God). power God He is the source of my being, and the source of my power.  But WHAT is my power?  It is the ability to change my thought (to repent) in order to change my experience.  As I strive to discipline my thought, allowing only correct and positive thinking, the changes in my thought processes are bringing about changes in my day-to-day life.  So many things are better, more harmonious, and I’m so much happier.  So, I’ve gained some knowledge of my power, but I know there’s so much more to learn and put into practice.  What do I need to put it into practice?  “the courage to dare;”

cowardly lion

This is the person I used to think I was:  the cowardly lion.  I was wrong.  I was never that person, because that’s not who I was made to be. Courage_by_dirtbiker715 I am strong.  I am fearless.  I am POWERFUL!

Courage.  The state or quality of mind or spirit that enables one to face danger, fear, or vicissitudes with self-possession, confidence, and resolution;  An obsolete definition is:  mind; disposition; spirit.  I have the courage to succeed.  I have the mind to succeed.  I have the disposition to succeed.  I have the spirit to succeed.courage

Faith.  Belief that does not rest on logical proof or material evidence.

Taking that first step, trusting what you’ve learned, trusting in your God-given power and abilities.  That’s faith.

Combining courage and faith leads to action.  “Knowledge does not apply itself.”  -Haanel.  We have to USE our knowledge, take action through courage and faith, and keep at it until we achieve our goals!  What an important life-lesson this is!  knowledge-n-action-equal-power

  1. Another masterpiece Sue, and so true. Knowledge is one thing, Courage is another. But when mixed with Faith who knows what you can produce. Like making a cake, each ingredient is different, but the sum of the parts creates something entirely new.

  2. Absolutely wonderful.. I loved the colors and your right, What a great life lesson to learn. I loved how you linked our power of thought to repentance or change. That is what I have been doing too. It is so liberating.
    Thank you

  3. Sue, that scene from Indiana Jones DEFINES Acts of FAITH and Courage! What a great metaphore for the MKMMA experience! You ROCK!!
    God bless you!!

  4. VIBRANT! The colors and words are bouncing off the page. The emotions you’re expressing are whole, strong, powerful, confident, harmonious, and happy. There’s no going back for you Sue B. The cowardly lion never existed. It was a facade from your outer-world beliefs, but now you know it’s your inner-world that’s the real you and she’s coming on strong!

  5. Wow! I see more creativity in you each week. Beautifully written. You are digging deeper and show great leadership in so many areas. It is an honor to have you as a friend and MKMMA partner.
